Battle System
Your creatures can now fight. Build a team, climb the ranks, and prove your collection is the strongest.
Arena and Friendly Battles
There are two ways to battle. Arena is ranked PvP where wins gain rating and losses drop it. You get 5 arena attacks per day, so make them count. Friendly battles let you fight any player with no rating on the line, good for testing teams or settling grudges.
When you attack in the arena, your team fights the opponent's defense team controlled by AI. Set both an offense and defense team from the Teams tab. Your defense team is what others fight when they challenge you.
Team Building
Each team is 3 creatures. No duplicate species allowed.
Every creature has a role that determines its stat spread:
- Striker has high ATK, built to deal damage
- Tank has high HP and DEF, absorbs hits for the team
- Support heals and buffs allies
- Bruiser has balanced stats, flexible in any position
Place creatures in the front or back row. Front row creatures are targeted first by single-target attacks, and some abilities get bonuses from row positioning.
Synergies
Matching creatures by type, era, or diet grants team-wide stat bonuses:
- 3 of the same type gives +7% HP and +3% ATK
- 3 from the same era gives +3% all stats
- All carnivores gives +10% ATK and +7% SPD
- All herbivores gives +10% DEF and +10% HP
- Mixed diet gives +12% SPD and +7% ATK
Synergies stack, so team composition matters.
Abilities
Each creature has two ability slots. An active ability that you choose when to use, with a cooldown between uses. And a passive ability that triggers automatically based on conditions.
There are 15 active and 10+ passive abilities across damage, healing, buffs, debuffs, shields, and crowd control. Some highlights:
- Crushing Jaw deals heavy single-target damage
- Tail Sweep hits all enemies at once
- Rally Cry boosts your whole team's ATK and SPD
- Shield Wall grants a shield to absorb incoming damage
- Headbutt stuns an enemy, forcing them to skip a turn
- Venom Strike deals damage and applies poison over time
When no active ability is ready, creatures use a basic attack.
Combat
Battles play out over up to 30 turns. Turn order is based on SPD each round.
Damage factors in ATK, DEF mitigation, a 10% crit chance at 1.5x damage, and a dodge chance that scales with the defender's SPD advantage. Status effects like poison, bleed, buffs, and debuffs tick each turn.
If no team is wiped by turn 30, the team with higher remaining HP% wins. Ties go to the defender.
Rating and Tiers
Everyone starts at a base rating and climbs through five tiers:

Wins grant +25 rating, losses cost -20. Matchmaking pairs you against players within a similar rating range.
Battle Replays
Every battle is saved. View the full turn-by-turn log from the History tab to see ability usage, damage numbers, crits, dodges, status effects, and KOs as they happened.
